Welcome to Akron, Ohio! The 5th largest city in the state of Ohio (by pop.) with approx. 190,000 residents (more info >)
with only one outdoor skatepark, and
NO indoor skatepark offering year-round use for the wheeled-sports community.
Akron, Ohio's only free outdoor skatepark was built in 2001 for approx. $332,000, and provides Akron's 190,000 residents with 19,000 square feet of concrete and transition to ride & carve...
if and when the weather allows.
Rumor has it, there are plans to tear down the Akron Skatepark as early as 2027, to make room for a museum dedicated to blimps and aviation, since the skatepark is located on airport property, and the city's lease will soon expire.
This will leave our community with
NO place to skate, scoot, ride, or roll!
Your support will help build an all-inclusive indoor skatepark facility for wheeled-sports enthusiasts in Akron.
This indoor action sports park will provide kids & adults of all ages and skill levels, a safe and inclusive place to recreate with friends and peers while participating in wheeled-sports (including: skateboards, scooters, rollerblades, quad skates, & BMX bikes)
all year round. Yes, ALL YEAR ROUND!
Not just when the weather allows.
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity,
so your donation is tax-deductible, too!
Every dollar you give, is an investment in youth, local culture, and safe recreation, while promoting positive mental health, increased physical activity, and more.
We look forward to hearing from you!
