The Carver Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to creating a

year-round all-inclusive indoor

action sports park in Akron, Ohio.

This project aims to replace displaced skateboarding and BMX infrastructure while providing a safe, inclusive space

for all wheeled-sports enthusiasts.

The Issues:

• Akron’s only free outdoor skatepark will soon be torn down and removed.
• The nearby Akron BMX Track will also be displaced in the process.
• Northeast Ohio lacks adequate year-round indoor riding options
• Youth recreation is extremely limited during winter months

• Proposed size: ~30,000 sq ft

• Rideable area: ~20,000 sq ft

• Disciplines: skateboarding, scooters, rollerblades, quad skates, and BMX

• Features: bowl, street plaza, beginner zone, BMX section

• Year-round indoor access
